2. Introduction: c yclohexanone

C yclohexanone is the organic compound with the formula (CH2)5CO. The molecule consists of six-carbon cyclic molecule with a ketone functional group. Over time, samples assume a yellow color due to oxidation. C yclohexanone is slightly soluble in water and miscible with common organic solvents. Billions of kilograms are produced annually, mainly as a precursor to nylon.

It is a colorless and transparent oily liquid at room temperature with an earthy smell, and when it contains traces of phenols, it has a minty smell. Impurity is light yellow, and it develops color as impurities are generated during storage time. It is water-white to gray-yellow, and has a strong pungent odor. Slightly soluble in water, miscible with most organic solvents.

3.Application: 

C yclohexanone is used industrially as a solvent, a raw material for organic synthesis, and as a trigger for some oxidation reactions.
Solvents: Excellent solvents for pesticides such as organophosphorus insecticides and many analogs, solvents for dyes, dye stabilizers, paint strippers, cleaning agents for paints, high boiling point solvents for cosmetics such as nail polish As a viscous solvent for piston type aviation lubricants, a solvent for grease, wax and rubber. Organic synthesis raw materials: used to prepare adipic acid, c yclohexanone resin, caprolactam and nylon 66.

In the manufacture of adipic acid,AH Salt and nylon 66. 
· Additive for electronic industry applications.
· Additives in PVC adhesives, mainly to regulate the evaporation rate.
· Additive in bonding agents for plasticized PVC film,
· Solvent for insecticides and fungicides, e.g., Perfekthion
