3.Preparation Process(4 Types):
1.In the preparation of trichloroacetic acid, after chlorination, the acetic acid is separated. Then used the chloroacetic acid as mother liquors, and sulphur as the catalyst. Continue chlorination 90-100mins recrystallized to obtain the product.
2.By fusing meltdown and oxidizing the chloroacetaldehyde, and then fuming nitric acid at a reaction temperature of 80-100 degrees. Trichloroacetic acid can be prepared by oxidizing chloroacetaldehyde with nitric acid or potassium permanganate, and chlorinating the acetic acid directly under the iodine or phosphorus trichloride catalysis and light.
3.Used monochloroacetic acid mother liquor and sulfur as a catalyst to further chlorinate to obtain crystallized.
4.Trichloroacetic acid can be obtained by using tetrachloroethylene as a raw material, oxygen-passing oxidation under ultraviolet irradiation at 120°C, or using tetrachloroethylene as a raw material and titanium as a catalyst, and hydrolyzing at 40-120°C.
4.Application:
1) Pharmaceutical manufacturing : Trichloroacetic acid is a commonly used corrosive agent in dermatology. It destroys warts by chemical coagulation of protein. It is a raw material for the treatment of flat warts and condyloma acuminatum.
2) Petrochemical: Due to the low content of noble metals support catalysts in noble metal, a competing adsorbent is often added to the impregnation solution to obtain large surface area uniform distribution. Trichloroacetic acid is a commonly used competing adsorbent. The adsorbent occupies a part of the surface, and the other part adsorbs the active components. Therefore, the active components are evenly distributed.
3) Biotechnology: Trichloroacetic acid is an intermediate in the production of the organic phosphorus pesticide "Chlorpyrifos". "Chlorpyrifos" insecticide has low dosage, high efficacy and good control effect on resistant pests. When used at the recommended dosage, it can effectively control citrus tree whitefly and rice planthopper.
4)Food manufacturing: Trichloroacetic acid can be used as a protein precipitation agent. In the processing of dairy products, protein content is a mandatory indicator. The Kjeldahl method is a standard method for the determination of protein in dairy products. The sample is treated with trichloroacetic acid first to eliminate the influence of non-protein nitrogen on the determination of protein content, and the true protein content can be measured. (Standard: GB/T 21704-2008 determination of non-protein nitrogen content in milk and dairy products)
