2. Introduction: soda ash 

Soda ash is one of the most important chemical raw materials and is widely used in chemical, glass, metallurgy, paper making,printing & dyeing, synthetic detergent, petrochemical, foodstuff,medicine & sanitation industries, etc.

There are three types of industrial sodium carbonate:
Class I: Sodium carbonate for special industrial use, suitable for the manufacture of picture tube glass bulbs, float glass, optical glass as a coagulant aid, mainly to adjust the PH value of the flocculation process.
Class II: Industrial sodium carbonate produced from general industrial salt and natural carbon as raw materials, including light sodium carbonate and heavy sodium carbonate.
Class III: It is industrial sodium carbonate produced by sodium sulfate type brine salt as raw material and combined with alkali method, including light sodium carbonate and heavy sodium carbonate.

The chemical formula of Soda Ash light CAS 497-19-8 is Na2CO3, the density is 2.532g/cm3, and the melting point is 851 ° C.
It is easily soluble in water and has the universality of salt.
Soda Ash light CAS 497-19-8 is a weak acid salt, which is mostly used in the photographic industry.

Na2CO3 · 7H2O is unstable and can precipitate from saturated sodium carbonate solution only in the range of 32.5 ~ 36 ºC. Soda Ash light CAS 497-19-8 is a weak acid strong alkali salt (soda ash is salt, not alkali, but the solution is strongly alkaline).
